Partners
Know people who sell to brand-new businesses? Send them my way.
I'm Hyrum, a dad from the Magic Valley. FirstFiling Leads is a daily email and spreadsheet of new Idaho LLCs and corporations, from the Secretary of State, sorted by county. It's built for insurance agents, CPAs, bookkeepers, web designers, marketing agencies and card-processing reps who want to reach new owners first.
If your clients or members are those people, here's a simple deal for pointing them to it.
The deal
- $15 for each paying customer you send. It's paid once the customer has paid for 2 months (or, on a yearly plan, once their yearly payment has been in for 60 days). It comes only out of money customers have actually paid.
- Or free access instead. If you'd use the list yourself, take a free Idaho County feed instead of cash. It's free for your first 30 days as a partner, and stays free as long as at least one customer you sent is paying.
- Chambers of commerce can have their county's list free, no strings, to welcome new businesses.
- No sign-up fee, no quota, no contract. Stop whenever you like.
How it works
- Email me at [email protected] with "Partner" in the subject. I'll send back your code, like
TFCHAMBER. - Share your link:
firstfilingleads.com/?ref=YOURCODE. When someone uses it, the site remembers your code for 90 days, including through the free trial and checkout. - If someone forgets the link, they can just tell me your code when they sign up or reply to their receipt, and it counts the same.
- Once a month I send you a short list of who you've sent, who's paying, and what you've earned.
Getting paid
- Payouts go out once a month, for anything earned the month before, by PayPal, Venmo (business payment) or check. Amounts under $15 roll over to the next month.
- I need a W-9 from you before the first payout. If what I pay you in a year is over the IRS limit for a 1099-NEC, you'll get one from me in January.
The fine print, in plain words
- No self-referrals. Signing yourself, your own business or your own staff up with your code doesn't earn anything.
- The customer has to be real. They need to finish the free trial or skip it, and then pay twice (or once for a yearly plan, after 60 days). If a payment is refunded or disputed, that customer doesn't count.
- First link wins. If two partners send the same person, the one whose link they used first gets the credit.
- No spam on my behalf. Please don't cold-email or text lists of people about FirstFiling Leads, and don't buy ads on the FirstFiling name. Mentioning it to your clients, in your newsletter, or on your website is great.
- Say you're a partner. When you recommend it, mention that you get a referral fee. It's the honest thing, and the FTC asks for it.
- Don't promise what it isn't. It's public-record data: names, filing dates, mailing addresses and registered agents. No phone numbers or emails. Utah is on paid plans only.
- Customer terms are the normal ones: County $29/mo, State $59/mo, All States $119/mo (or 2 months free yearly). Cancel anytime. No partial refunds.
- I may change or end the program with 30 days' notice by email. Anything you've already earned still gets paid.
