Where does the data come from?
Public business records from each state's Secretary of State (in Utah, the Division of Corporations). When someone forms an LLC or corporation, the state publishes the filing. I collect those records, clean them up and sort them by county. I don't scrape social media, buy contact lists, or add anything that isn't in the public record.
How fresh is it?
Idaho: the filings get pulled every weekday morning, and new ones are in your inbox the morning after the state publishes new filings. Idaho usually takes about a week to process a filing, so a business that filed last Monday often shows up this Monday. Nobody can get it before the state releases it.
Utah: your first Utah list goes out within one business day of signing up, then once a week, because the state's Utah business list updates weekly.
Which states do you cover?
Idaho and Utah right now. More are coming. If you're on All States, new states get added to your plan at no extra charge.
The free sample and trial are for Idaho. Utah is available on paid plans. Your first Utah feed arrives within one business day.
Are there phone numbers or emails?
No. The states don't publish them, and I don't buy them or guess them. You get names and addresses, which is what you need for a mailer, a drop-by, or looking them up yourself.
What's the registered-agent filter?
Lots of new businesses list a registered agent's office or a mail drop as their address. I keep a list of addresses that show up again and again for unrelated businesses and take those rows out. Then I flag the filings where the owner looks local to the county. The "likely local" flag is a best guess from public fields, so treat it as a strong hint, not a guarantee.
How are the industry tags decided?
From the words in the business name (and NAICS codes where Utah provides them). "Example Roofing LLC" gets tagged construction. A lot of names don't say what the business does, like "Smith Holdings LLC", so those get tagged "other". Your preset puts the tags that matter for your kind of work at the top.
What's the difference between the free sample and the trial?
The free weekly sample is 10 filings from one Idaho county, a week old, with the mailing addresses hidden. It shows you the data is real. The 7-day trial is the full daily Idaho list with everything in it, for a week, no card needed.
Both are for Idaho counties only. Utah is available on paid plans. Your first Utah feed arrives within one business day.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. No contracts. Cancel anytime and you keep access through the end of the month or year you've already paid for. No cancellation fee.
What's the refund policy?
No contracts. Cancel anytime and you keep access through the end of what you paid for. Since you can try it free first with the weekly sample or the 7-day trial, I don't do refunds, except if you're charged twice or I don't deliver.
So there are no refunds for partial months or years. If you're ever charged twice by mistake, or I don't deliver your list, email me and I'll refund it. Details are in the terms.
What does "first 50 customers keep their price" mean?
The first 50 paying customers keep the price they signed up at for as long as they stay subscribed, even if the list price goes up later.
How does the Exclusive State plan work?
For $299 a month I won't sell that state's list to any other business in your line of work (insurance, accounting, merchant services, web/marketing, or banking). It's one per state per line of work, first come, first served.
Can I use the list to mail, call or email these businesses?
Yes, that's what it's for. But you're responsible for following the rules for your outreach, like CAN-SPAM for email and the Do-Not-Call and TCPA rules for calls and texts. The template pack includes notes on that. The list can't be used for credit, hiring, insurance underwriting of a person, or tenant decisions. It is not a consumer report.
Can I get my business removed?
Yes. The filings are public records from the state, and I can't change those. But email [email protected] with the business name and state, and I'll stop including your contact details in future deliveries within about 10 business days. I'll also take your business out of anything I publish publicly (like a newsletter or web page) within 2 business days. Details are on the privacy page.
Who's behind this?
Me, Hyrum. I'm a sole proprietor in Idaho. It's just me and a lot of automation. There's no sales team and no call center.
How do I reach you?
Email me. I am based in Idaho, and email ([email protected]) is the best way to reach me.
